      Developing Skills for Success On and Off the Ice

Luke Popko was born in Skillman, NJ and grew up playing for the New Jersey Rockets organization. After playing with the Rockets, Popko went to play for The Taft School before being recruited to play for the US National Team Development Program along with other top youth talent from across the United States. While Playing for the US-NTDP, Luke played a pivotal role in winning the prestigious IIHF U-18 World Championships with Team USA. Soon after, Popko would commit to Boston University where he would add on to his decorated hockey career. In 2009, Luke and the Terriers went on to be Beanpot Invitational Champions, Hockey East Champions, and ultimately NCAA Division 1 National Champions. Popko pursued professional hockey ambitions after university and played for the South Carolina Stingrays and then overseas for Katowice Hockey Club in Poland. Luke joined the D1 Development Group in 2014 and is looking to give back to the New Jersey hockey youth with his expertise and experience.
